I must say that it did indeed seem like eighteen hours of flying time. However, the surprise for me was that the boys were amazing for such a long travel experience. The trip from New York, through London, through Kuwait City and onto Chennai was new, exciting and leading us to India - an exotic place we had been preparing for for half a year.
Baby Skyler may have had his own version of the experience. He had a high temperature from the first leg of the trip, threw up all over his mommy half way through the trip, was greeted by masked nurses in Kuwaitt and slept in a bassinet attached to the front wall in front of our seats. Now the latter, was the treat of the trip for me (the mommy that was thrown up on:))
I had never seen a baby sleep on a bassinet on an airplane. Now I have not been on any international flights (except Jamaica) since having children, so I may have seen it and cared less at the time. I give high praise to whoever invented this gadget that allows baby and parents to sleep.
Now I will have to ask him, but I think Scott may have been pleasantly surprised by the food. This was no ordinary plane food - chicken marsala was one I remember them serving. (Because of my food program I brought my own food in a cooler.) Anyway, it was an impressive looking tray of Persian foods.
So three cheers for the boys for entertaining themselves, playing games, and making the most of two days of flying (with the time change)!
